For generations, our society has championed artists whose visions reshaped culture. Yet the time has come to reimagine how greatness is discovered. Masterpiece Quest is our answer-a groundbreaking initiative that invites the world to witness and celebrate genius as it emerges.

No longer will tomorrow’s icons wait for distant recognition. We unite collectors, curators, and connoisseurs to identify and honor living masters in their defining moment. This is not a departure from tradition, but its evolution: a refined, discerning pursuit of the next enduring masterpiece.

WHO CAN SUBMIT?

The Quest is open to artists of all disciplines and backgrounds:
painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, mixed media, and more.
(Artists must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submission.)

WHAT DO ARTISTS GAIN FROM PARTICIPATING? 

The selected masterpiece will:

• Be highlighted at the Columbus Museum of Art in a celebratory event with media coverage (Fall 2026)
• Be included in Shadows’ private collection, shopped to collectors and private buyers for at least one year.
• Receive a dedicated feature in Forbes around the 2026 Masterpiece
• Gain exposure across Shadows’ storytelling and press platforms, reaching curators, collectors, and audiences worldwide.

HOW DOES THE SUBMISSION PROCESS WORK?

We encourage artists to first approach their school, university, gallery, or creative organization to cover the cost of submission. Many institutions sponsor their artists as part of their mission.
If organizational support isn’t available, artists may submit independently.

WHAT IS THE SUBMISSION FEE?

The submission fee is $430 (USD) per entry. 
The fee ensures the Quest can provide professional curation, museum exhibition, international media coverage, and the storytelling needed to elevate the chosen Masterpiece at the highest level.

WHAT IS THE SHADOWS MASTERPIECE QUEST LOOKING FOR?

Any art piece is welcome, though Shadows tends to favor work that is conceptually strong, skillfully executed, and emotionally compelling — pieces that resonate, reflect the times, or carry a sense of timelessness.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY WORK? 

Submissions are made online through the official form below.
You’ll be asked for:
• Artist information
• Artwork details and images
• Artist statement
• Payment of the $430 submission fee (unless covered by an organization)
